I'm the editor of bugs&cranks.com. The site is an intersection of baseball and writing - two of my favorite things.
I've written for the site
since 2007 and been its editor since 2010. It's been an important creative outlet where I've been able to keep my writing sharp when day-job duties didn't include much writing.
I started writing for Bugs&Cranks after my book came
out. The site caught on and now has thousands of regular
readers. We even manage to pay our writers from time to time.
The site gets its name from 19th-century newspaper descriptions of
rowdy and disreputable fans drawn to the new national pastime. We
thought it was a great nod to the language and humor of the game.
Here's the book I mentioned:. Extra Innings was published by McFarland in 2007.
